Currently, Gianna is privileged to be the Assistant Director to Banji Aborisade in MSM's spring production of Violet and is having an absolute blast being a part of the directorial process yet again!
Gianna had the privilege of singing in the additional choral ensemble of the Oklahoma! In Concert at Carnegie Hall with music director Rob Berman and director Shuler Hensley this past January!
Gianna performed with the Essential Voices Choir in the annual holiday concert for the past two years at Carnegie Hall with choir director Judith Clurman and conductor Steven Reineke. This past December, Megan Hilty headlined the concert, A Place Called Home, and in 2024, Jessica Vosk lead the concert, Merry & Bright. Gianna has always adored choral singing and feels blessed to continue her choir experiences in this way.
Gianna performed as Berthe in the Manhattan School of Music production of Pippin this past October! It was directed/choreographed by Lorna Ventura and music directed by Andrew Gerle. It was so special for her to integrate her clarinet skills as a surprise at the end of "No Time At All"!
This past summer, Gianna performed as Chutney Wyndham/Featured Dance Ensemble in Sceneworks Studios' production of Legally Blonde at the Ciccone Theatre in Paramus, NJ. The show was directed and music directed by George Croom and choreographed by Ariane Ryan. She enjoyed the challenge of "Whipped Into Shape" and the iconic, frizzy Chutney perm.
In the spring of 2025, Gianna performed as Jack's Mother in the Manhattan School of Music production of Into the Woods. The show was directed by Evan Pappas, choreographed by Lorna Ventura, and music directed by David Loud. It was a highlight of her time at MSM to sing Sondheim music alongside the amazing MSM orchestra!
In the fall of 2024, Gianna had so much fun gender-bending the role of Linus in a fully student-run production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! as a part of MSM's Alpha Psi Omega organization. Gianna enjoyed having so much creative freedom in this process and valued the outside-the-box experience.
In the summer of 2024, Gianna made her regional theatre debut in Sceneworks Studios' production of Anastasia as Maria Romanov/Featured Ensemble. The show was directed by Katie Collins, choreographed by Ariane Ryan, and music directed by George Croom. She loved being a Russian princess & ballerina for the summer!
In the spring of 2024, Gianna was a swing on a fully-produced new musical called The Hills Are Alive, a parody sequel to The Sound of Music written by Frankie & Eric Johnson. The production was directed by Evan Pappas, choreographed by Todd Underwood, and music directed by John Yun. Gianna thoroughly enjoyed learning the skill of being a swing!
In the fall of 2023, Gianna had the pleasure of being the Assistant Director to Director/Choreographer Katie Spelman on MSM's fall production of Bye Bye Birdie, being absorbed in her love for directing.
